Barcelona v Real Madrid. Manchester City v Manchester United. Dunbar v Barnstoneworth.

As the AA2’s found themselves fighting for a place in the finals, they hosted East’s at the house of Paine.

This was a big match for the team, and revenge was definitely on the boys minds as the last visit to UNSW wasn’t the best day at the office.

Barnstoneworth AA1 picked up their first win of the season on Wednesday night with a hard fought victory over Mascot Kings. After a disappointing defeat to Coogee the Sunday prior Barney bounced straight back on Wednesday night on what could be the turning point for the season.

Barnstoneworths 5th match of the season was away to East FC who were bottom of the league with no wins yet this season.

Chris Moore’s day started like any other Sunday morning, with a sore bum and a look of confusion on his face as he tried to recollect where he had abandoned his car following a classic sesh on the Friday.

Following on the back of a solid defensive display and the first point of the season against Maccabi, Barny headed off to the much loved Reg Bartley Oval. To quote  Ben “I’d rather play at the reg every Sunday than that dump Old Trafford”. 

After a terrible start to the season in last week's disgraceful loss to UNSW, it was surely not going to get any worse for Barnstoneworth AA2. A fair few changes were made to the Barney starting line-up with a several players back from injury and suspension.

Barnstoneworth lost their opening encounter of the season after late goals saw them go down 2-1 to Waverley in a hard fought contest.
